Refund policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: July 22, 2026

At Copenhagen Weddings, we are committed to providing a professional and transparent service to couples who wish to get married in Denmark.

As our products consist of professional services rather than physical goods, this Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when refunds may be available.

1. Before We Start Working

You may cancel your order and receive a full refund if you contact us before we have started working on your case.

A case is considered not started when we have not yet reviewed your documents, provided individual guidance, prepared your application, or carried out any work related to your order.

2. Once We Have Started Providing the Service

Our services are personalised and begin as soon as we start working on your case.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Reviewing your documents.
  • Providing tailored advice.
  • Preparing or submitting your application.
  • Communicating with the Danish Agency of Family Law (AFL) on your behalf.
  • Assisting with booking your wedding ceremony.

If you cancel after work has commenced, you may receive a partial refund. Any refund will be based on the amount of work already completed.

3. Completed Services

Once the purchased service has been fully delivered, no refund can be provided.

4. Government and Third-Party Fees

Any fees paid to public authorities or third parties are non-refundable.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Danish Agency of Family Law (AFL) application fees.
  • Translation fees.
  • Courier or postal costs.
  • Any other third-party charges paid on your behalf.

5. Decisions Made by Public Authorities

Copenhagen Weddings provides professional assistance throughout the application process but cannot guarantee that an application will be approved.

Any decision made by the Danish Agency of Family Law, a Danish municipality, or any other public authority is entirely outside our control and does not entitle the customer to a refund.

6. Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase.

However, by placing an order and requesting that we begin providing the service immediately, you expressly consent to the service starting before the end of the applicable withdrawal period.

You acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed, your statutory right of withdrawal may no longer apply, as permitted by applicable consumer protection legislation.

7. Contact Us

If you wish to request a cancellation or have any questions regarding this policy, please contact us through the contact information available on our website.

We will always review refund requests fairly and individually.
